Following the historic 2017 de-amalgamation which saw the creation of Falaba District, Koinadugu emerged as a focused powerhouse of 10 sovereign chiefdoms. From the heights of Mount Bintumani to the vibrant markets of Kabala, our identity is forged by a "Powerful Mixture" of Kuranko, Fula, Limba, Mandingo, and Yalunka heritages.

The Koinadugu District Family was born in 2020 to be the bridge between our rich history and a developed future, ensuring no son or daughter is left behind.
